3. Tax exemption

  • In 1971, the European union created GSP on imported products but this mesure was very criticized of being complex and too intense eventhough lots of countries was granted but the exemption demand was still difficult and that is no exemption. Anyways, the European union members decided to revise the mesure and arrived finally to delete some requirements from 01 january 2011. In Asia, we believe that apparel exports give lots of profits in Cambodia. Since 01 january 2011, the tax rate of 12% has been exempted and this contributes to an intense competition on exportation. Cambodia has tax exemption from lots of developed countries such as European union, Canada, Austratlie, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea and 20 other countires are being included.
